Description: At the end of “The Wizard of Oz,” Dorothy declares that there’s no place like home, and we agree with her! Join Lisa to make a unique mini album that’s designed to help you celebrate your own home. We’ll use an adorable 5”x7” mini album from Maya Road, and we’ll cover it with beautiful papers from Webster’s Pages, Making Memories, Best Creations, and Bella Blvd. in soothing shades of blue, green, gold, and brown.
This album is brimming with techniques, too. We’ll use metal from Ten Seconds Studio, do some image transferring using Claudine Hellmuth sticky back canvas and her amazing paint, use Spellbinders die cuts, experiment with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, glimmer screens and chip tiles, and more!

Class: Butterfly Mini Album
Date: February 27

Description: Nothing says “spring” quite like butterflies. In this class, we’ll make a beautiful butterfly shaped 6″x8″ mini album using beautiful papers from Prima, Best Creations, and Karen Foster in gorgeous, color-saturated shades of turquoise, purple, sunset orange, salmon pink, soft green, and yellow. We’ll embellish this little beauty with Spellbinders die cuts, buttons, gems, Tim Holtz fragments, flowers, and fibers.

Memory Makers Books is currently looking for layouts, which will be published in an upcoming idea book, tentatively titled The Big Book of Scrapbook Ideas.
This new Memory Makers gallery book will showcase fantastic layout ideas on all kinds of themes like family, holidays, special events, vacations and more. The new book will feature more than 500 layouts, so we’re looking for a variety of pages, highlighting all sort of styles, skill levels, colors, products, photos and techniques.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Please submit your layouts on the following themes:
• Family time
• Family/friend relationships
• Babies, kids and pets
• Hobbies and careers
• Hopes and dreams, faith, and other personal themes
• Holidays and seasons (especially Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving and Hannukah)
• Special occasions
• Vacations (especially those to a non-beach location)
• Sports and other fun activities
We accept layouts in any of the following sizes and formats:
• 12 x 12 single and double
• 8.5 x 11 single and double
• Traditional, hybrid and digital
They are especially interested in pages that have multiple photos. The payment for publication of your artwork is a free copy of the book.
Instructions for Submission
Deadline for submissions: March 15, 2010
* Send JPEGS no larger than 600K to mmsubmissions@fwmedia.com by March 15, 2010. Images should measure at least 4″x4″ (275×275 pixels).
* Include your name, address and e-mail address with your submissions.
* Submissions must be never-before-seen: never posted in an online gallery and never published.
* Submissions are limited to 10 per person. Please send each submission in a separate e-mail message.
* Indicate in the e-mail if a layout is all-digital.
* We welcome international submissions.
If your page(s) is chosen, you will be notified via e-mail by March 30, 2010 with further instructions (including how to mail in original artwork). We will require complete supply lists from all accepted submissions. All original artwork will be returned after the book is published.
